It is a pleasure to welcome you to Los Angeles City College as you continue your education and prepare for the future. The College faculty and staff stand ready to help you achieve your goals, gain the confidence critical to success, and guide you along your path.

The Catalogue represents one resource available to you. In it, you will find information on courses, counseling, financial aid, student activities, and a host of other services. Each of these is designed with you, the student, in mind to insure a successful and rewarding experience at City College; take advantage of them.

Beyond the Catalog are dedicated faculty, staff, and administrators – and fellow students – who are more than anxious to assist you. I encourage you to take the initiative and meet as many of these individuals as possible.

This year promises to be exciting for the entire campus. Construction is underway on new athletic facilities and parking structure, a library, science and technology center, and child development center. Each of these projects is underway to provide a modern learning environment to complement the outstanding teaching faculty.
